This course is intended to give technical insight on modern telecommunication systems and deals with different aspects of transmission techniques and networking.
Topics include fiber optic communication, telephone systems and its applications, technologies for transport networks and wireless systems.
In addition the course covers basic characteristics, capabilities, and networking uses of copper wire, coaxial cable, fiber optics, wireless and also transmission techniques like OFDM and Spread Spectrum.
